Just like the Seinfeld episode where George wanted everyone to call him “T-Bone,” Beyonce Knowles wants to be known by her new name.

The R&B singer has christened herself Sasha Fierce for her new double album, I Am … Sasha Fierce, due in U.S. stores on November 18, and has released a justification for the change.

“I have someone else that takes over when it,s time for me to work and when I,m on stage, this alter ego that I,ve created that kind of protects me and who I really am,” the former Destiny,s Child frontwoman said in a statement.

“Sasha Fierce is the fun, more sensual, more aggressive, more outspoken side and more glamorous side that comes out when I,m working and when I,m on the stage.”

Additionally, the songstress has set up a MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/sashafierce) that gives one “lucky person” the opportunity to receive a personal message and a gift bag valued at $500.

Paramore's 'Twilight' Song 'Decode' Premieres On Stephenie Meyer's Web Site
Band scheduled to shoot a video for the song in mid-October.

Last month, MTV News brought you the exclusive that Paramore would be contributing a pair of songs to the soundtrack of the upcoming "Twilight" film, including the first single from the album, a spiky little slab of vampire lust called "Decode."

On Wednesday (October 1), "Decode" premiered on "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer's official Web site, making it the first bit of new music to be heard from the soundtrack. The post on StephenieMeyer.com also says that the soundtrack's release has been pushed back to November 4, from the previously reported October 28 date. (The movie hits theaters on November 21.)

"The song is about the building tension, awkwardness, anger and confusion between Bella and Edward," Paramore frontwoman (and "Twilight" fan) Hayley Williams said in a statement. "Bella is the only mind Edward can't read, and I feel like that's a big part of the first book and one of the obstacles for them to overcome. It's one added tension that makes the story even better."

A source at Atlantic Records (which is releasing the album along with music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas' label Chop Shop) confirmed to MTV News that Paramore are scheduled to shoot a video for "Decode" sometime around October 13.

Late Tuesday night, Perry Farrell confirmed via press release that he too will have a new song on the soundtrack. "Go All the Way" will feature production work by Nine Inch Nails' Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder. More details on the soundtrack — including a complete track listing — are expected to be announced on Meyer's site over the coming days.

]Rihanna 'Perfectly Healthy' After Apparently Collapsing Onstage During Duet With Chris Brown
Singer was performing 'Umbrella' when she abruptly left stage, holding her stomach.


A rep for Rihanna said the singer is "perfectly healthy" after nearly collapsing onstage during a concert Thursday at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia.

In videos posted online, the 20-year-old singer, clad in a corset, hunches over and holds her stomach while performing her hit "Umbrella" with tourmate Chris Brown. While some reports claim she finished her verse before running offstage, where paramedics reportedly were waiting for her, the video shows the music — and Brown — continuing after she exits the stage.

"It was very hot at the venue, so after Rihanna's set was over, she went offstage and needed to sit down, catch her breath and have some water," a rep for the singer told MTV News on Friday (November 7). "She is perfectly healthy and will be at her show tomorrow."

TMZ reported that Rihanna may have felt ill due to a problem with the venue's air-conditioning system, and Radar reported that she sought medical treatment at a local hospital.

According to her rep, the singer is expected to resume the tour with Brown as scheduled Saturday night in Sydney. The duo have been on tour in Australia and New Zealand since late last month; the last show is scheduled for November 11 in Perth.

Rihanna was recently named the face of Gucci's UNICEF campaign. Gucci's Frida Giannini described Rihanna as having a "strong personality" and said that she will work well for the campaign because "a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign."

Fergie: I've "Gained 13 Pounds" for Nine

Fergie isn't worried about putting weight on this holiday season.

"I've actually gained 10 pounds!" she told reporters Monday. "No, really - for the film, Nine. Actually, 13 to be exact.
