Page Curl Effect Tutorial

Title: Page Curl Effect Tutorial
Description: I am going to show you how to achieve a page curl effect in this tutorial for just a few easy steps.
Difficulty: Easy
Required Programs: This tutorial use the Warp filter so it,s for Adobe Photoshop CS2 only


Instructions:

1. Let,s start by opening the photo you want to apply the effect to. I used the image of a 2009 Chevrolet Camaro as a sample photo.

2. Now we are going to unlock the background layer. To do this simply double click on the padlock icon besides your photo thumbnail in the layers palette.

3. Now select the Rectangular Marquee Tool.

4. Select a rectangular area in the corner that you want to apply the effect. In the screenshot below I have highlighted my selection.

5. Now select the Gradient tool and draw a black to white gradient in your selection. In this case I drew the gradient from the top right corner to the bottom left corner.

6. Now Deselect it by clicking Select menu >>> Deselect or (Ctr+D).

7. Next go to Edit menu >>> Transform >>> Warp.

8. Drag the bottom left point towards the center, and you should end up like mine.

9. And here is the result.

10. Finally apply a Drop Shadow style. These are the settings I used.

11. And here is the final result.

Just play around with it by choosing different corners or by choosing different image..!

medyo  rushed kaya di ko gaano nahalata na di pala gaano natakpan yung ginawang "gradient" dun sa gilid..
tingnan niyo, may gradient pa rinna nakikita..

yea notice ko nga rin yung gradient sa gilid.....kaso cute pa rin naman siya.....




sayang pinapaayos pa yung comp namin na may CS2....so ngayon yung pwede lng muna sa photoshop 7 yung ginagawa q....hihi....

lol..
ang lam ko kc may warp filter din yung photoshop 7 pero not sure dahil 1 month ko lng gamit yun, so di ako gaano nag-research, basta sunod lng ako ng sunod sa mga tutorials...
try mo rin, kung may mahanap ka, eh di ayos..
i-e-edit ko na lng etong topic para may alternate version para sa 7 kung meron..

ahhh, eh di ok..!
hehe..
tnx sa update.! lolz..
wala kc ako 7, and ang pagkakaalam ko, isa sa mga new features ng CS2 yung warp filter, so yun, di ko na inasahan na meron pala sa photoshop 7..
