Today, We're Through

Today I sat in our closet and cried,
Crying for our love that has clearly died.
Looking at your clothes hanging there,
Remebering my favorites you used to wear.

Each shirt holds a memory you see,
I wish you were here to remember with me.
The smiles that once graced our faces,
There's nothing there now not even traces.

I will always treasure the love we had together,
I will hold it in my heart forever.
Now I know that I can't sit here all day,
I know I must let go and put it away.

Still it seems the hardest thing to do.
It's so very hard cause it means that we're through.

Wishing We'd Last Forever


It keeps pounding in my head,
everytime I lay in bed..
It's a memory of you and me-
the things we've said or did.
I begin to think,
and my heart wants to sink.
When I was with you,
I felt something so true.
Now, I say..
what I am going to do??
I see when you walk on by,
feels like I could cry.
And tears build up in my eyes,
I still have feelings I can't deny.
Hoping you'd come home tonight,
and hold me tight.
Wishing you'd tell me "everything's gonna be alright."
Nothing ever feels right.
I know I can't let go.
I still love you so.
I keep wishing we'd be together,
where it's us again.
That we'd last forever and ever!!!

Crying Over You

Forever, you promised
Forever, a lie
You promised the moon
And the stars in the sky.

You'd stolen my heart
Then left me alone
You were so cold
It chilled to the bone.

You left me with nothing
But tears and a past
When you said "I love you"
I thought it would last

But "I love you" found an ending
The 'us' and 'we' no more
You said you didn't mean to
But you hurt me to the core

So I guess that I'm the loser
Cause you've found someone new
But I'm still here, still all alone
Just crying over you...

What Must I Do?


Do I have to call you on the phone,
or beg you to come home?
In every which way,
I remember the times we spent day after day...
or then I remember the things you used to say!

What it used to be, of you and me..
I hurt inside, and these feelings begin to collide.
I can't deny, these feelings that make me want to cry.
There are times I think, and my heart begins to sink.
I want you to hold me tight, to say that "everything's gonna be alright"

I know it's never what it used to be...
And knowing we're both about to set free;
it's now all a memory.
I know I said I loved you so, and
still promise I'd never let you go.

You broke my heart
Crushed my soul
You ripped me apart
Leaving an empty hole

You brought me to tears
Many times a day
I have tried over the years
To let you fade away

In my mind
You seem to stay
But I want to leave you behind
Which I will do some day

The one you caused fear
The one you ripped apart...

Would You Give It One More Try?


I don't even know where to start..
These words keep pounding in my heart.
Words I want to say..
I want you to stay!!

And, I can't express what's on my mind.
But, if only you knew-
Does this love have a meaning to you?
What am I going to do, what are we going through?

You can't tell me,that you love me.
Then next, you say it's easy just to set free!!!
I want something that will last, not going through the past.
Making each moment special, not taking it fast!!!

Can we take a second chance at romance?
How can we deny, feelings between you and I?
How can I just watch you walk on by and not cry?
Would you consider or you really want this love to die?

For all the tears I caused
For all the happy times I missed

I know its a never ending list

I will do whatever it takes

Hold Me to Your Willing Heart


Hold me to your willing heart
And let me - help me - weep
That I of need might fall apart
And then at last might sleep.

Let the truth slice into me
That I might finally bleed
And purge myself of agony
I cannot now concede.

For I have bound myself in light
That I might live in joy,
And cannot - will not - let the night
My bonds of love destroy.

And yet I know if I would gain
The peace for which I pray,
I must allow the floods of pain
To wash my love away.

After love and fear, there's pride;
After tears, the night;
After all the words are gone,
A chair with just one light.

After memories, the dream
That you will come home safe;
After sleep, another day
Of waiting for my life.

After hope, the happiness
Of thinking of your love;
After moments of despair,
A stone no thought can move.

After all the sacrifice,
The hunger and the pain,
The passions and the promises,
The losses and the gains,

There's nothing but my love for you,
Which waits upon the wind
To bring you from the barricades
That now you must defend.
