The move to the Virgen de la Arrixaca's new Materno Infantil hospital is already underway

Manuel Alcaraz, director of the Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital in Murcia, has announced that the move to the hospital’s new Materno Infantil unit has begun this week and should be almost complete by the end of this Thursday. The regional government’s health department described it as a ‘complex’ process, which is taking place in stages to cause as little discomfort as possible to patients.

La Opinión de Murcia said the health department hopes the new centre will be fully operational within a month, which is when the official inauguration will take place. It’s facilities include 220 Paediatric beds and another 208 for Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
