Help needed in Malaga, urgent
Hi, I'm Nick and I'm posting on here as a plea for help from any Philippina's living in or near Malaga, Spain.

I am the Safety Manager here on the NCL cruise ship, Norwegian Jade & my girlfriend, Loiella Calibo, worked on here as a Restaurant Hostess. She was taken ill and was medically disembarked in Malaga, Spain on 29/7/2009. She was admitted into a private clinic for tests, the Clinica Del Pilar, in Malaga. Yesterday 14/8/2009 she was transferred to a large hospital; I believe it is the Carlos Haya Hospital, as her condition has deteriorated.

I do not know what her condition is at present as the tests are ongoing. It is not swine flu & tests for tuberculosis have so far been negative.

I took a 2 day work break on the 29/7/2009 in Malaga to be with her and re-joined the ship in Barcelona on 31/7/2009. I visited her again recently when we were in Malaga on 12/8/2009.

My concern is that she is all alone and scared as the illness is getting worse and she is obviously a long way from home. I am trying everything I can to help her but it is difficult doing something here from the ship. My contract here does not end until 29/9/2009 and I can’t afford not to work, especially with Loiella needing my support, as her pay helps her family back home. I know her family, who are from Siquijor, because I visited there in May for 3 weeks.

Is there anybody out there in Malaga who can help her in any way? Just somebody to visit her would be a fantastic help as she is struggling to communicate with the non English speaking staff. She has been sick for over a month now and is growing weaker day by day. Her family is extremely worried and I wish I could do more; but like I have said, I need to work in order to support Loiella and her family.

I work with lots of crew members here from the Philippines and I know how they are always willing to offer help wherever & whenever they can.

If you would like to help please send a private message & can give more information.

Loiella is scared, lonely & a long way from home with nobody at the moment to support her. Please help her if you can.

Nick
