RE: Agora (2009)
Agora can be a powerful subversion of female film, but it does have it when it never truly live up to its ambitious potential. Somehow, the fighting and violence Plato scene investigation and the meeting did not cross very exciting movie. This one is the mud, in the extreme.

Agora could have been a highly subversive feminist movie, but if it has its moments it never really lives up to its potential ambitious.

RE: Agora (2009)
A fable: the fourth-century Christians as the Taliban. Alexandria, 391: Hypatia taught astronomy, mathematics and philosophy. Orestes her students that she was Davus, her personal love slave. With the city's Christians, Ammonius and Cyrillic, access to political power under the leadership of the great learning institutions and governance may not survive. Jump the next 20 years: Orestes, prefect of the city, there is a disturbing the peace with Christians, by Cyril leadership. Christians in the implementation of public morality, first, they thought their obstacles of the Jews, then the women. Hypatia no interest in faith, and her brother on the movement of celestial objects and all the attention. This one is really great scripted film.

RE: Agora (2009)
Agora is the nice movie. Muddled film that has its sights on the top on the right track, but lacks focus and direct a script that can handle the issue. Alejandro Amenabar does best, but falls short in many respects with his narrative. The film is a bit too long and the script varies from time to time, but Rachel Weisz's performance is Oscar worthy and deserving of a better film to respect the effort he puts into it.
