Spray Tanning Tips

• 24 hours before your spray tan appointment, shower well and exfoliate.

• Use an exfoliating scrub and exfoliating gloves or a loofah to get rid of any dry skin, especially around the knees and elbows.

• It is important that your exfoliating scrub doesn't contain any oils, otherwise the oily barrier can stop the spray tanning solution getting through.

• Shave or wax at least 24 hours before your appointment.

• Moisturize 24 hours before your appointment especially knees and elbows.

• Do not shower or moisture within 12 hours of your spray tan appointment.

• DHA spray tan chemical, does not take as well to freshly showered or moisturized skin and can prevent the tanning solution getting through.

• If you have any old tan on your skin, make sure it is all removed before your next spray tan to avoid streaky effect.

• Wear, loose, dark clothes to your spray tan appointment, this will help to avoid marking any light colored clothing.

• Be prepared to go home without wearing any bra and socks, they can rub tan off.

• Try to attend your appointment with none or minimal make up and without deodorant. Makeup would need to be removed and wearing deodorant could react with the spray tan.

• Wait at least 6 hours before showering, this leaves enough time for your tan to develop, then moisturize daily to prolong your golden tan.

• Relax! Beauty therapist have seen it all before and will never make you remove any clothing that you don't want to.
