Lolong the Longest Crocodile is the 9th Most Shared Story on Facebook

In a list released by Facebook the story of Lolong, the 20.3 foot long crocodile was the ninth most shared story on the social networking site.

The reptile is named after Ernesto “Lolong” Conate, a crocodile hunter from Palawan. He was hired to hunt Lolong, but died of a stroke days before it was caught near Lake Mihaba.

A team from National Geographic recommended that it be entered in the Guinness World Records, surpassing the current record of "Cassius," an 18-foot crocodile in Australia.
