Grandad

Now when I visit grandad
It isn't quite the same
I cannot hear him laugh
Or joke, or say,
' Can I have a cuppa mate? '
I cannot watch him read his books
Or do football scores
I cannot hear him say 'hello' anymore
Now when I visit grandad
I kneel and say 'hello'
And place flowers on his grave
Hoping that he knows.
