Crashing, roaring
Conflict, despair Fighter planes threatening in the air Blast, explosions Terror, fright Air-raid shelters, a home for the night Scream, shriek Ache, weep Sodden, trenches deep and bleak Bold, young Slaying, crying Uniformed soldiers, young and dying Fatherless, motherless Hungry, no home Isolated orphans sad and alone Destruction, hatred Darkness, pain Bloody wars, all in vain.
