Health Benefits: Watercress
Watercress belongs to the powerful crucifer family, other members of which are cabbages, broccoli, brussels sprouts, kale, turnip and horseradish.
Like them it should figure prominently in the diet of those at risk from cancer.
Watercress is also rich in vitamin A and vitamin C, both of which play an important role in combating cancer.

Watercress is related to nasturtium, and both contain potassium and a benzyl mustard oil, the compound that gives them bite.
Watercress is also a good source of iodine, useful for those with low thyroid activity.

Respiratory and urinary infections in particular will benefit from doses of watercress.
So eat plenty of watercress, add an attractive nasturtium leaf or flower to your salads, and you will greatly enhance your natural resistance.

' don't be so insecure to that person you think having a better life than you do, coz sometimes, that one thing you're jealous of, is the only thing she has, and of all the fun simple things you enjoy, who knew, she might have been praying so hard to be in your shoes.' - dkny
