Time
Some may compare you to an old man
Bent double, bearded white Creeping and creaking When I was a child you were grey All those nights I wished would fly All those days I prayed would merge You never obeyed my childish cries You were my enemy And now as I grow slower you are a child Filled with infinite energy I want to catch you and tie you down But you are too fast for me And now I regret my calls in the night My spirit too old to fight. |
