Potato Pancakes III

3 medium sized raw potatoes
1/2 tbsp soy grits
1/2 tbsp wheat germ
1/2 tbsp soy flour
1/2 tbsp rye flour
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tbsp kelp
1 large onion, grated
1 tbsp sweet cream or sour cream
corn oil,m peanut oil or sesame oil
yoghurt, sour cream, applesauce or cranberry sauce



Grate the potatoes and drain well on paper towels.
Mix the grits, wheat germ, soy flour, rye flour, rye flour. egg, kelp, onion and cream.
Heat a griddle.
Grease well with the oil and drop pancake mixture by the teaspoonful onto hot, greased griddle.
Cook until browned.
Turn and brown the other side.
Serve with yoghurt, sour cream, applesauce or cranberry sauce.
