• Substitute dried beans or raw rice for pie weights.Just make sure the crust is fully lined with parchment paper, you don't need them to bake into the crust.


• Whenever you need butter, always use unsalted butter and cut into 1/2 inch cubes. This one will speed up the process, whether you're adding cold chunks into flour or melting it.
