Have you been a third party in a relationship?

I met this guy during a summer job, in our summer job we met a lot of people and befriend with them. We all became good friends, especially me and this guy (let’s call him “bentong”…hehehe). We spent a lot of time together because we are partners. One day out of the bloom he asks me to eat somewhere else his treat of course, because of the treat I said yes. From then on we often eat outside still his treat. One day he asks me if he could court me… at first I thought he was fooling around but as the days goes by and his action or his treatment for me had change and it’s become obvious. My other co-worker started to tease us more and pair us up. But I don’t want to give bentong false hope so I talk to him directly and said that I don’t have any feeling for him aside he’s my friend and let’s stick to that…
A few months later we lost communication due oto the reason we are both studying. During those times I heard from our common friend that my co-worker and bentong been going out and week later they became steady. I’m happy for them, but I never thought that bentong’s girlfriend is so jealous of me ever since. One day the girl confronted me and asks me directly if I still have feelings for bentong...at first I just laugh about it but I saw in her eyes that she was very furious so I talk to her and convince her that ever since bentong and I are just a good friends.
Weeks had past and I heard that bentong and his girlfriend are just broke up. And our common friends told me that I’m the reason why they broke up. I just laugh about it; our common friends say that I’m the third party. They say that I just ruin a good relationship. I’m being accused as the third party in a relationship that from the very beginning had no trust to each other. I’m innocent… I even don’t like the guy… I’m the third party by accidents…
