Exploding Text Effect Tutorial

TITLE: EXPLODING TEXT TUTORIAL
DESCRIPTION: CREATE A GREAT LOOKING TEXT EFFECT AND IMPRESS ALL YOUR FRIENDS!
DIFFICULTY: BETWEEN EASY AND MEDIUM
REQUIRED PROGRAMS: ADOBE PHOTOSHOP 7 AND HIGHER (CS/CS2).


INSTRUCTIONS:


1. Open Adobe photoshop.
Create a new document. Make the size 600 x 500 and make the background black.
We need to make a big size so the design is clear.

2. Using the text tool, type a word in White. I used the font Dimitri.

3. Rasterize the text layer (Layer menu -> Rasterize -> Layer or Right click the text layer and click rasterize)

4. CTRL Click on the text layer on the Layers pallete (on the right) to select the text (outline of the text).

5. Copy and Paste the selection.

6. Delete the original text layer.

7. Select the layer you copied and go to Filter >> Distor >> Polar Coordinates and choose Polar to Rectangular.

8. Go to Filter >> Stylize >> Wind and choose Wind for the method and From the right for the Direction. Press CTRL + F.

9. Repeat Step 8 exept for the direction, choose From the Left.

10. Go to Image >> Rotate Canvas >> 90 CW.

11. Go to Filter >> Stylize >> Wind and choose Wind for the method and From the right for the Direction. Press CTRL + F.

12. Go to Image >> Rotate Canvas >> 90 CCW.

13. You're almost done! Go to Filter >> Distort >> Polar Coordinates and choose Rectangular to Polar.

14. Now, Select the Text tool and write the text you first started with. Color it a different color and move it over the white. You're done!

If you want to add a color on the effect:

1. Select the copied text layer and duplicate it (Right clik on the copied text layer and click duplicate) to make the design better.

2. Go to Layer menu >> New Adjustment Layer >> Hue/Saturation and make sure you click the box where it says Colorize.
Now apply these settings:
Hue: you pick the color you want
Saturation: +100
Lightness: 0

jzt in case alang naka install na photoshop sa pc, may ibang way ba or site para magawa yan?? eny idea?? ung paint kaya ubra?? dami ko bang Q's, xenxa na po

u mean, gusto mo install photoshop sa pc?
go to www.adobe.com then downloads ipapakita sayo dun yung mga trials..
yung akin din, nagsimula sa trial then in-activate ko na lng...
sa MS Paint, di pwede yan eh...
photoshop lng talaga...

err,,confused ako dun sa tanong mo?? iba ba ang system ng pag DL nyan, diba yan ung usual way lang lyk oders..mey formula ba dapat yan??

waaahhh!!! gusto ko talagang mag try ng photoshop pero kc ang mahal pag-bibilhin mo sa stores tsaka kung i-dowload ko naman sa pc eh bumabagal ang pc kc it took alot of spaces just to use it...

dito kasi sa PI pede mag pa install un nga lang di ka sure kung di pirate yung soft nila... pero ok din naman..

no, baka kc di ka pa sanay mag-download ng programs...

kung willing ka talagang matuto, ipalinis mo cpu mo..
or bili ka ng bagong hard drive (kung di mahal diyan sa inyo)..
hehe...
mas maganda pag download na lng makakalibre ka pa..
ako puro download lng eh...
ayoko bumili coz wla ako pera...
ayoko nmn magpabili..
kung pwede i-download, eh di yun na lng...
its the only way para magkaroon nung program na yun...
it take more than 200 mb, and kung luma cpu mo, di niya kakayanin talaga...
bago lng ba comp mo?
o yung mga old na?
