Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

In all my years here on earth,
The hardest lesson that I have yet to learn
Is how to teach my heart
To love,
To unlove,
To forgive,
To forget.
Such things are easier said than done,
Everything is simply complicated.
How can I teach my heart
When there are no basic pattern
That leads to learning love?
If there are no concrete rules
To unloving someone?
If there are no surefire remedy
That spells forgiveness?
If there are no known drug/substance
That would make one forget?
Is there any shortcut to knowing these?
Any simple techniques in learning?
Ah, such lessons are hard earned
I know I,d need time
And experience -
Nothing can spare me from pain
And heartaches
If I truly wish to understand.
Life,s hardest lessons, yes, they are
But those would also define me,
The person that I,d become.
