hehehey doc..thxs for the visit.....hey..come & join us here abroad.. Nurses are very much in demand here, there are shortages of RNs here......you wont have any problem coming here at all, guranteed approved ka agad sa immigration office....and most of all....highly paid ang RNS...starting from $40.00 an hour...is that enough to convince you to say yes ?  just kidding

Hey everyone! My name is Jessica.. nand2 ako ngayon sa Florida. 14 ako nung umalis ako ng Pinas.. so basically.. sa pinas na talaga ako lumaki.

Ako naman hindi ako nahirapan mag-adjust. Ewan ko.. basta owkei lang naman sa akin. School's alryt. Ako lang ang pinoy. IN FACT, AKO LANG ANG NAG-IISANG ASIAN!!! For real.It's not that bad living in abroad.. pero siyempre sa simula kailangan mong makisama.. kasi sila dito.. usually.. whites go with whites.. blacks whith blacks.. hispanics with hispanics.. and asians with asians. So at first at school.. i didn't talk kasi nahihiya ako.. pero ngayon tignan mo naman... auz naman na ko... i mean.. sanayan nga lang din. and yeah.. i have friends.

Pero...he can also move here in California.....we have tons of beaches here....kasi surrounded ng pacific oceans ang calif...

@ equinox....you are in the period of adjusment...pag tagal tagal...you will get used to the living conditions in IL...later on, you will say...i want to live here forever ....hehehe....that happened to me  too when i first came here........

hahaha yeah i know. i'm planning to go abroad next year pa pero nde mag work...(mag study ulit) :smyl: pero pag napagod ako baka mag work din ako kaya lng. mahihirapan ako nun kase student visa kunin ko eh!

Glad to know you are planning to come over next year...I would like to give you some information, maybe it will help you.

1. If you are coming as student --- you can work, no problem, as long as you carry the minimum subject load, you can apply a permit to work with the school and immigration office...as long as you have passing grade, you can renew your permit to work yearly. If you dont have a permit to work and you secretly work, you will have problem with INS.

2. Do you have a degree in Nursing...did you graduate ??? ---- if you graduated as an RN, then it is much better for you to apply directly as a professional nurse to work abroad.....RN has the highest priority and guaranteed to be approved....USA has open  visas for nurses, they have been recruiting all over the world, cause very few americans are studying nursing course here that resulted in nursing shortage.

3. If you come as a working nurse, then you could also go to school to continue whatever course you like to take either in the eve or morning that suits your working schedule.

4. Try to look at the internet, google search, hospitals in usa....try to contact them.....they can also sponsor you to come and work for them in return....you have to sign a contract with them that you will work for them for certain years...Many hospitals has been doing this for years now....good luck on your search.

5. Some hospitals will even help you pay your tuition fee, then you have to work for them in return after u graduate.

Doc...you have so many options to select, you have one year to do all the above...i hope i help you a little bit.....Good luck....

ps...i have a 65 yrs old cousin working as nurse in Virginia for 35 yrs now, she submitted her retirement application, was turn down, the director beg her not to retire yet cause of the shortage, they even gave her a salary increase to persuade her to stay which she did...that was 3 yrs ago, and she is still working right now, that is how bad the nursing situation is here.....
