Pan's Labyrinth 




Synopsis: :57:

In post-Civil War northern Spain in 1944, a 12-year-old girl, Ofelia (Ivana Baquero), moves with her heavily-pregnant mother and stepfather into a new home in the countryside. Her stepfather, Captain Vidal (Sergi López) has been sent to this remote area to rid it of a small Republican militia. Disliked by the sadistic Vidal, Ofelia, who revels in ancient stories and fairy tales, discovers an immense and ancient labyrinth guarded by a faun (Doug Jones). He tells her she is the long-lost daughter of the king of a magical land, and to regain entry to her kingdom she must carry out three tasks. So Ofelia enters a strange and no less dangerous world of fairies and extraordinary creatures such as the terrifying Pale Man (also played by Doug Jones).


Review:

Napanood ko na and it is truly One of the best films of 2006..  When you believe in something it comes to life..  it really does..

i liked that movie pero not as good as this one ehehe

anyway ang ganda tlga tong movie na toh..Based in Real life sya na pinaghalo sa fantasy . truly 1 of my favorites tlga toh.. nde ko makalimutan yung story.. napa-reflect akoinspiring,mesmerizing,captivating,arresting,dramatic,powerful.. ang daming adjectives pede ko pa idagdag .. gusto mo by alphabetical or by category? ganda pa nung ending , ganda nung twist!! at higit sa lahat nakakaIYAK, with beautiful performances and brilliant directing !! ganda pa ng moral lesson !!  This is the fairytale for adults ...

Nde pa showing sa pilipinas.. sa U.S. and europe palang.. wala pang wide release eh .. matagal pa toh bago makaabot toh d2 sa pilipinas.. Spanish movie toh na may english subtitles.. cguro ginagawan nila ng english version bago pa irelease sa ibang countries  :33:

Official entry ng Mexico toh sa Best foreign Film Award sa Academy Awards .. Nanalo na toh ng best picture sa Ibang awards ceremony eh.. kaya maganda talgaga.. may symbolism kasi yung mga creatures d2 and yung mga plot nila eh. 

Natalo yung atin.. Blossoming of maximo oliveros..  LOL  :beh:

waa yung The Ring kasi is a remake, ginawang english from the original japanese version Ringu, etong movie na toh nde na toh gagawin english or remake kasi maganda na eh...  masmaganda toh spanish with english subtitles kaysa dubbed (parang yung mga soap opera, panget!!) kasi parang iba yung dating    :57: .

F.Y.I nde toh yung lord of the rings na fantasy film..  parang war film toh na pinaghalong kaunting fantasy.. parang fairytale pero for adults.. Maraming magagandang message/lessons tong movie na toh.. multilayered.. may parallelism/allegory sa real life. gagawan ko nga ng book report sa english (kahit movie sya, ahaha kakatamad magbasa ng libro  ). Masterpiece nga daw sabi ng critics..

eheeh nung napanood ko toh it reminds me how brutal the spaniards are to the filipinos...  may maririnig kang mga salitang tulad ng p*ta !! haha pero nde nakalagay sa subtitles hehe
