Cool, this thread is really helpful.
I'm hoping to be fluent in tagalog.
How do you say - "I'll be right back."
And what to say when asking for directions?

Hi dekare, welcome to Pinoy abroad. Where are you located in USA ? So dont you speak Tagalog at all ?  I dont think you can learn the language overnight by just visiting a pilipino forum. Tagalog is very hard to learn.

I'll be right back ----  Babalik ulit ako.

Asking for directions ---- Pano ba pumunta sa palengke ?
( How do I get to market )

Visit us more often in Pinoy Abroad thread. There are not too many Pilipino members that are from abroad, there are just a few of us. I am glad to add your name to our list. Come back soon.

Thank you for the translation pocahonta.
Yeah I'm thinking of getting a tutor to teach me tagalog.
I really do want to speak it fluently like my parents.
I do live in the states, but I only know small phrases.
Like gising na.
Dito, doon, oo, bigas, kumain....stuff like that.

Thanks darryl.
Yeah I'm learning more things in tagalog.
I'm still searching for a tutor haha.
Eventually I will be able to carry a conversation with other Filipinos.
Not only is this for me, but I'm making this a sorta surprise gift to my parents. =)
